The tag line for Hatchet was the new face of American horror. Lets hope not, because its little more than a B-grade slasher which tries to make up for its weak humor and lack of suspense with lots and lots of gore.
The only person I recognized in the film is Mercedes McNab, forever in our hearts as Harmony Kendall in the Buffyverse. She took the challenging role of one of two bimbos who flash their breasts for a loser guy with a video camera. Clearly, shes capable of better. Im not a fan of breast implants in general, but Mercedes got a particularly bad boob job and thats painfully evident in some scenes.
